The 1st annual Erotic Arts Festival is presented by:
Glam Girl Photography  and Anchor Tattoo….
The Erotic Arts Festival is an event for artists that want to showcase their artwork & creativity that is erotic/sexual/sensual in nature. The event is also open to those that are lovers of art or those that are curious! We highly recommend that you participate in the show by bringing an art piece or a food display. If you are not an artist or a cook, you can entertain the crowd! If you don’t want to do any of it, you can pay $15 to enter and still have the opportunity to appreciate the work!

We encourage everyone to participate. This is the definition of participation:

**ONE art piece that is YOUR definition of erotic.
**A food display. This could be anything from a pot of chili to a boob inspired cake. Let your imagination soar! Bringing a bag of chips is just fine but displaying those chips in a way that would make people giggle is even better!
**Performance art. You can read an erotic poem. You can sing a song. You can dance. Want to try your own burlesque inspired performance? Go for it!  You can do anything you want to do on stage as long as it is done in good taste.

Not an artist? Don’t want to bring art? Don’t want to get on stage? That’s ok. You can still join us but you will have to pay a lot more money to be there. $15 gets you in and you won’t have to bring anything to the event. Listen, it’s WAY more fun to participate!  All of you non-artists should make a funny food display. Ever carve a cheese ball to look like a penis? It’s a funny display and the reactions are priceless! Plus we open the “eating” after about 1.5 hours. We let everyone admire the food display before we dive in and devour it!

Artists!!
In order to guarantee a spot for your art piece, we HIGHLY encourage you to  bring your artwork to Mediums Lounge the day before which is February 9th. Jimmy, the owner will be there from 8am until 7pm to hang your art or display it. If you bring it the day before you will have a spot for your art piece. If you cannot make it the day before, I recommend that you call me to reserve a spot. If you want to display on an easel, you must bring your own easel. All items that are hung on the wall must have some sort of hanging device attached to the back of the piece. If you have a photo that is mounted, make sure there are brackets on the back that a nail can hold onto or frame it. If you want your name displayed with your piece, we encourage you to make your own name placard. You may even write a bio or an artist statement or a title of your piece. It is up to you. If you want it to remain anonymous then do not make a placard. You may want to explain what the art piece is made of if it’s not obvious.

Any art of any medium is accepted. Photography, watercolors, oils, sculpture, wood carvings, trash art, etc. etc. Any size is acceptable.

Define Erotic.
adjective
1. arousing or satisfying sexual desire: an erotic dance.
2. of, pertaining to, or treating of sexual
love; amatory: an erotic novel.
3. subject to or marked by strong sexual desire.

You may bring artwork that you feel is erotic. It can be G rated to R rated with a bit of X rating but PLEASE, PLEASE use good taste. If it is tacky and you think it may be a bit too much, do not bring it. No porn please. We want the show to be open and fun but if you bring something entirely too explicit, we retain the right to pull it down. If you are not sure, please feel free to email me at: glamgirlphotography@gmail (dot) com.  I’m a very open minded person but we need to take everyone into consideration. You MUST take your artwork home with you at the end of the show. We will NOT be responsible for broke, lost or destroyed artwork.

FOOD!
Why pay the $15 at the door when you can get creative and bring some food to display? I’ve seen everything from penis to boob shaped cakes. Cheese balls carved into body parts. I’ve seen everything from alfalfa sprouts, raisins, glaze, licorice and everything in between to embellish foods. If you don’t think you can be that creative, then grab a bag of chips or some cracker and bring it along. I will say it is much more fun to get reaction from the crowd when you bring something made that is most hilarious! If you are bringing art, you can also bring food. You are limited to one art piece as our walls can only handle one per person. Everyone is allowed to bring a food display plus a piece of art for the wall or a sculpture to display. (we will have tables for food and for art)

PERFORMANCE!
Again, do this in good taste. If you want to do a striptease/burlesque routine please keep your hoo-ha covered and your nipples should be covered by pasties. Want to bring a body painted person? That’s cool but make sure their tidbits are covered. Want to read a raunchy poem? Go for it! We won’t be upset if the F bomb is in the poem. Pretty much anything is open to performance.

DRESS UP!
Oh please do! Come dressed up as erotic as you want. Just keep your privates covered. Want to wear that dominatrix outfit? Go ahead! No one will judge you. This is an erotic arts festival. Everything goes. Want to walk your boyfriend on a leash? Sure! People may giggle BUT it will be in good fun and that is the ENTIRE reason for this event! Giggling, oooing, ahhhing, admiring art, admiring others that had the balls to wear an over the top sexy outfit!

(incase of snow/ice, we will postpone to a later date)
